Linda Diane Bunk was born and raised in the Baltimore area.  Her early childhood was full of arts and crafts, which were used to keep her hyperactivity in check.  During middle school art classes, she found art was her voice to utter the unspeakable.  Although the director of child psychology at a local influential clinic told her family she was uneducatable, Linda went on to the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) to complete a bachelor’s of arts in visual and performing arts, emphasizing in photography.  She flourished at UMBC, and later, her time at the Maryland Intitute College of Art (MICA) allowed her to feel the sun on her face.  She graduated from MICA in 2005 with a Masters of Fine Art in photography and digital imaging.

Her early work explored the dangerous relationship between childhood and racism, but now her work is fueled by the hidden aspects of living with a mental illnesses. In 2010, she visited Ukraine for the first time.  During this trip she visited four orphanages and took snapshoots of the children.  They were delighted with her taken photos for them. In January 2011, she returned and gave them the photographs she took from her first trip.  She recently returned from a three-month journey to Ukraine, where she took many photos and helped many hurting people.
